The famous Walker Field at the corner of Broad and Lynch Streets is expected to host the second edition of the LBDI/Western Union U-13 soccer tournament.

Making the disclosure, LBDI/Western Union Marketing Officer, Madam Wilhelmina Dahn, said the tournament will begin on December 6 with a parade involving all participating teams beginning from Ashmun Street to the tournament venue.

Like the case of the first edition last year, participating teams will emerge from New Kru Town, Barnersville, Old Road, Central Monrovia, Sinkor and West Point, while various communities in Margibi will contest for the county trophy.

She said thereafter, the grand final will bring together the champions of Monrovia and Margibi county.

Gardnersville is the defending champions after defeating Central Monrovia in the grand final last year to walk away with a trophy and a cash prize presented by LBDI/Western Union.
