Three Liberian Referees Off to Togo to Officiate in Nations Cup Qualifiers

Three Liberian international referees leave the country today for Lome, Togo to officiate in the second round of matches in the 2004 African Cup Nations qualifiers.

According to Liberia Football Referee Association (LIFRA) release issued yesterday, the three international referees are Chief referee Idrissa Kaba, Jacob Jeetoe and Buster Synder.

The LIFRA release said they will officiate between Togo and Mauritania on Sunday, October 13, 2002 in Lome, Togo with Chief Referee Kaba serving as Center Referee, while Jacob Jeetoe and Buster Synder will serve as Assistant Referees number One and Two respectively.

LIFRA also said, the three international referees were selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently based on their previous performance on the international scene.

At the same time, another Liberian international referee, Augustine Gooding will be at home on Saturday, October 12, 2002, as reserved referee for the match Liberia versus Niger at the SKD Sports Complex.
