LFA Reaction
Former officials of the Liberia Football Association have issued a
major position statement on the pending LFA elections.
The former LFA officials in a one and half page statement are calling
on football stakeholders to make the necessary decision during the
elections so as to resurrect the lost spirit of football in the
country.
They said their statement was a result of what they called the present
dismal state of the game.
The Ex-LFA executives said it was shameful for the country that has
produced the likes of former World Best footballer of the year George
Weah, James Debah, Jonathan Soibah and many others to be disregarded
both at the local and international levels.
They vowed to directly and personally engage all LFA stakeholders in
the weeks ahead to ensure that the right decision is taken during the
elections.
The former LFA officials called on all relevant authorities including
the current LFA administration, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and
the local Olympic committee to ensure that the elections are conducted
in a free, fair and transparent manner.
