With just one more round of matches left among teams participating in the Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2002 National League Championship, LPRC Oilers and LISCR FC remain hopeful for the title.

Over the weekend, both teams played tough opponents who actually gave them their money's worth.

On yesterday, LPRC Oilers played against Invincible Eleven (IE) to a zero all draw. Oilers needed the match to put her one leg on the promised land, but the Yellow Boys denied the Sensational Oilers their wishes.

If the Oil Boys had won the match, that would have put LISCR chances in jeopardy having lost her match against Mark Professionals on Saturday. But with a draw game against IE, that means Oilers must beat BUSA next weekend if she is to win the LFA 2002 National League Championship.

On the other hand, if LISCR FC wins Barrolle this coming weekend and BUSA beats LPRC Oilers, the Shipping Boys will lift the LFA 2002 League Championship crown.

Bookmakers have tipped LPRC Oilers to win the championship taking into consideration the team she has to play this weekend. According to them, BUSA is not that strong to withstand the force of the Senational Oilers, who can boast of the likes of Varney Boakai, Shelton Barlee, Mitchel Karngar, goalie Boye Pratt, among others.

Meanwhile, two Liberia leading traditional teams, Invincible Eleven and Mighty Barrolle has lost their chances as far as the LFA championship is concerned.

Despite Barrolle's 3-0 victory over BUSA and IE's 0-0 draw with Oilers, their dream has comes to an end.

At present, Mighty has 9 points, while IE has 8 points as compared to LPRC Oilers (12 points) and LISCR FC (11 point( with one more game to go.

Both teams started the league with the hope of winning the LFA championship, but LPRC Oilers and LISCR FC have surprised football fans to put themselves in the driver's seat.

As for IE, she can still give something to her fans, that is the LFA Knockout Title, while Mighty Barrolle has lost both opportunities. The Rollers were knocked out of the LFA Knockout Competition by little Roots FC.
