Barrack Young Controller (BYC) right-back Prince Kennedy has since established himself as a future star from his youth team days as he has climbed the career ladder receiving a senior national invitation recently.
The dependable all-rounder may have been selected mainly due to his versatility, impact on games, goalscoring and, above all else, impeccable reliability.
The lad is if not the only fullback in the local league that can operate as wingbacks. He has the ability to play in advanced positions and thus assist as well as shown by his BCY’s assist stats over the years.
He works really hard as a right sided defender. He gets the crosses in as well as falling back when the opponents attack.
Like former Bayern Captain Philipp Lahm, Manchester United’s Blind, Kennedy has the pedigree to also fill in as a left full-back as well as a center back and a defensive midfielder.
The lad proved his strength in Monday’s win over Sierra Leone in an international friendly, making some incredible crosses and at the same time taking most of the set pieces for the young Debbah’s team.
With Solomon Grimes who have filled the right-back post for the Nation in the last ten years lingering in the country without a club and Spanish-born USA-based Joel Johnson reportedly not making the trip to Zimbabwe, the BYC’s man will certainly fill the spot like he did against Sierra Leone.
The lad can go on to cement his place in the team.
