King Makes Headway in Ghana

…. Helps Wassaman gets 1-0 Away Win

Liberia’s international shot-stopper, Melvin King continues to enjoy his fine goal keeping form in the Ghana GN Bank Division one league with Wassaman United.

King numerous saves must especially in the second stanza guarded his side to a 1-0 win over Samatex FC in a second phase encounter played at the Dumpim Town Park, in the Western Region of Ghana.

Wassaman United on Wednesday secured a 1-0 win at the hands of Samatex FC, courtesy to Michael Antwi who rattled the nets via Moses Mensah’s connection in the 68th minute to see his side secured all three points in the match.

The win has returned Wassaman to winning ways and moves them 9th position with 25 points on the GN Bank zone ‘B’ table.

So far Wassaman has recorded a win, draw and lose out of three matches in the phase two of the GN Bank Division One League.

The match was King’s third as first choice goal keeper for Wassaman United since he sealed a half season deal March 10, 2016.

Wassaman United next fixture is an away one as it will see King returns to his former club Tarkwa United next week Sunday.

King has assured team mates that following the play of 6-7 matches, Wassaman will be seated at the first or 2nd position on the table, but encourages them on hard work and commitment.
