Lone Star Falls 2-0 to Liberia Under-20

Mustapha Lomell was on target in Liberia Under-20 2-0 win over Lone Star at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Tuesday.
Lomell scored Coach Christopher Wreh guided side second goal of the practice-match, which the youngsters dominated.
Daivd Tweh put the U-20 ahead from the penalty spot early after Lomell through pass forced James Debbah’s defense spear headed by Teah Dennis to commit a foul.
Debbah’s lineup which included Tommy Songo, Solomon Grimes, Francis Grandpa Doe, Sekou Jabateh, Tonia Tisdell, Zah Krangar, Kpah Sherman and new comer Emile Damey struggled in vein to restore the match to status quo.
The match was part of the Red, White and Blue outfit preparation leading to the crucial encounter with the ‘Sparrow Hulks’ of Togo in the Zambia 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on June 5.
Coach Debbah’s men are scheduled to play another friendly against the feeder side of first division outfit Barrack Young Controller tomorrow at the ATS.
Liberia tops Group A with nine points and need a win against Togo on Sunday to guarantee her position ahead of the group last round of matches in September, later this year.
Only the groups’ winners and the two best second place teams will qualify for the finals to be held in Gabon
Liberia Sunday’s opponent defeated the Chipolopolos of Zambia in an international friendly on Friday, 27 May 2016 at the Stade Municipal in Lome.
The other group match between point donor Djibouti and Tunisia takes place at the El Hadj Hassan Gouled Stadium in Djibouti City on Friday, June 3.
