Reports from the Liberia Football Association National team players agent in Spain say negotiation to get Spanish football giants Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams sign up for Liberia has stalled following the involvement of the young lad's father.
Jonathan Adama Momolu who was in Spain Saturday for the planned meeting with Inaki was told lately that the player’s father has gotten involved.
According to Momo, instead of meeting with the player, he was referred to his father Osei Williams who said though Inaki will make independent decision; but for now he should concentrate on club football until he is 25.
Inaki Williams just turned 20 playing for the Spanish U-21 team, but his father believes his son should concentrate on club football and the Spanish U-21 team.
Osei however told the LFA representative that at age 25, Inaki will decide whether he wants to play for Liberia, Ghana, or his adoptive Spain.
Momolu has told Truth FM and Sports FM sports microphone that Inaki Williams has personally agreed to play for his mother’s land.
But it seems that everything now lies in with his father who is also his agent.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Adama Momolu has advised that it is about time that the LFA President Musa Hassan Bility plead with world Soccer icon Ambassador George Weah to help talk to Inaki’s father who is believed to be a fan of George Weah.
