The return leg of this head to head will he played on Monday, March 28, when Liberia will host Djibouti at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
Liberia will need to win both games by a large margin .Togo already has a 2-0 win against Djibouti and Tunisia who tied on 3 points with Liberia has an 8-1 demolishing of Djibouti on the books.
The Path to the African Nations Cup is clear!
Win the 2 games against Djibouti and the home game against Togo in Liberia.
With Liberia grabbing the potential 9 points against Djibouti and Tunisia battling with Togo in a head to head tie at the same time, the opening is there.
If Tunisia wins both games, Liberia will still have the lead with both on 9 points with Liberia still holding the advantage in the head to head tie breaker.
If Togo wins both games, while sitting on 6 points will put them in a commanding lead with 12 points making the match in Monrovia against Togo a fight for the 3 points to lead Group A
Liberia will still need to make up the goals against Djibouti because Togo last Game is against them while Liberia heads to Tunisia for the game against that sends Liberia to the Nation Cup.
It would be rational to believe that the head to head tie against Togo and Tunisia will not be a 2 game sweep.
The highest number of points either team could have is 4 points. That will be if one team can get the away tie and the home win. If this probality becomes true, Tunisia will have 7 points or Togo 10.
A win against Togo in Liberia will put Liberia in a commanding lead and a draw or win in Tunisia wins the ticket to the Nation Cup Finals!
Djibouti is ranked 52/54 in Africa and 204 in the world. from 1998-2015, the have played 39 games (1 win, 3 draws & 35 losses) In their last 10 games, they are (0-10) scoring 3 goals and conceding 35,having won only 3 games since they were founded (against Somalia and South Sudan).
