Liberia and Senegal settle for Draw

Senegal and Liberia local team that participate in the Just ended WAFU Tournament today settle to a goalless draw in a Test Match at the Jules Francois Bocande Technical Center in Senegal.

Both Countries used the warmup match to help give their players some international experience.

The Liberian Team was the batter sides in the encounter as they dominating possession during the game.

Christopher Jackson of LISCR FC was given his second starts for the Young red white and Blue boys in Senegal but missed two opportunities that could give Liberia total control of the match as his Header and shot from the eighteen yard was denied by the Senegalese Keeper during the First half of the game.

The Liberian Defense comprise of three BYC players Alpha James , Alvin Maccornnel and Hilton Varney were very organized and accurate During their defending.

Back from the Break Joe Nagbe brought in Barbu Kollie to replace Junior Barshall in the center of the park combining with Murphy Dorley who was describe by Fans at the game as the man of the match and the next great player that will come out of Liberia.

Little Oscar as he’s famously called passing ability and total control of the Ball restricted the Home team from playing their Normal Game said the Head coach of Senegal.

Later during the Friendly Encounter Fassell FC goalkeeper Samson Giddings came in for Tommy Songo and the Fassell keeper had a great impact in the game making three beautiful saves that could give the host the needed Victory over their Liberian Counterparts.

According to both teams Coaches the game was key to their preparation and hope to meet in another encounter. The game was organized by the Senegalese FA to help build their team for the All African Championship that is expected to kicks off sooner ,And to give the Liberia team some experience at international level .


Meanwhile the Liberian delegation is expected in Liberia on Wednesday Morning from Senegal with their Second Place Medals from the Just Ended WAFU tournament.
