Three In, Three Out For Lone Star
-Ahead of Ivory Coast Match
By Roland Mulbah
Liberia’s Lone Star head coach, James Salinsa Debbah has invited three new foreign based players and dropped two ahead of the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier against Africa’s champions, the Elephants of Ivory Coast this Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
Malaysia-based Patrick ‘Ronaldinho’ Wleh of Premiership side PNKS, Tonia Tisdell who plies his trade in Turkey with topflight side Osman lıspor and Alseny Keita of French lower league side Horoya AC are the new comers, while Marcus Macaulay of Jordan and Abel Gebor of Albania have been dropped.
Israel based Gizzie Dorbor, who plays for Hapoel Afula is out of the crucial clash due to work permit issue.
According to an insider of the Liberia Football Association, the versatile player rejected the invitation to afford him the opportunity to renew his work permit.
Our source hinted that besides the three players who will not make the crunch clash, the rest of the squad that broke the 14 years away record when the Lone Star of Liberia beat Guinea Bissau is maintained.
The talking point is the invitation extended Tisdell who has just played seven minutes the entire season due to injury.
