Tonia Tisdale Needed to Slay the Elephants
By Staff Reporter
The attacking linchpin and virtuoso performer Tonia Tisdale of The Turkish Premier league side Osmanlıspor is back in form and is needed to be part of the attack force of the Lone Star.
This player has been omitted from the Sr national team of Liberia the Lonestar previous matches under the helm of head coach, James Sinlisia Debbah.
He was called up for the game against Togo but declined due to injuries
Tisdall was facing an injury that he was rehabilitating and was not fit for national team or Club engagements.
Tonia Tisdell, has signed a new contract extension with the Super League club, Osmanlispor FK that will keep him at the club until 2017.
Tisdell has been a mainstay of Osmanlispor in recent seasons after making the breakthrough into the first-team in the 2013-14 campaign.
With Debbah coaching style of attacking football, and the Strike force missing a real playmaker, Tonia would be a perfect fit.
His skills on the ball and vision in the final 3rd addresses the issue of service for the strikers. He takes on defenders and has a deft first touch.
In the game against Nigeria for the in 2013 African Cup of Nations Qualifier at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville, his play and skills proved major problems for the Nigerian back four. He scored early in the game and constantly tormented the Eagles defense.
We hope the Coach calls him back to fill the playmaking void in the Lonestar strike force against the reigning African Champions, the Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire
