Grandpa Doe Swears to quit Lone Star

Francis “Grandpa” Doe, Liberia’s international striker has sworn to not play for the Senior national soccer team, Lone Star again, if Coach James Salinsa Debbah is maintained as manager.
Forky Doe, via-mobile phone conversation on a local radio show in Monrovia stated; “So long as Coach James Salinsa Debbah remains as head coach he will never play underneath him.”
“I am in good form now; and I have just played two matches and recorded one goal.” He said.
The Tunisia’s conqueror, Francis ‘Grandpa’ Forkey Doe was dropped from the national team just hours ahead of the team’s trip to Guinea Bissau for the return leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Reports came in saying, coach Debbah walked in the player’s room early Monday morning and informed him to leave the camp, while the team was preparing to pick-up for Bissau.
The Liberia Football Association has not given reason for the striker dismissal, but Focus sport understands that Grandpa Doe was dismissed for failing to show-up at the team’s practices following Thursday’s match.
It can be recalled that Lone Star coach James Debbah told a news conference prior to the team’s departure that he would take disciplinary action against Francis “Grandpa” Forkey Doe for the player’s rudely conduct exhibited during the team’s practice at the ATS two days ahead of the October 8 tie.
It’s alleged that Grandpa Doe elbowed, stepped and insulted Nimba United’s, Barbu Kollie mother after the defensive midfielder fouled him inside the danger area.
According to reports, Grandpa Doe was vexed because the local lad denied him from scoring what appeared to be an obvious goal.
Grandpa, who was part of the Lone Star 1-1 draw with Guinea Bissau for the first leg in Monrovia this week, did not make the return leg scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
The 30-year-old Liberian footballer is currently playing for NS Matrix in the Malaysia Premier League.
It can be recalled that Francis Grandpa Doe, Dulee Johnson and Dioh Williams were thrown out of the squad by the late Bertalan Bicskei for indiscipline conduct in 2010.
After earnest and serious apology, the former Al-Ahly hit man was pardoned by the 67-year old Hungarian technician [deceased].
Francis Grandpa Doe along with Dioh Williams and then Anthony Laffor were banned for acts mismatched with guiding principles of the national team under former coach Kaetu Smith, in 2012.
The LFA officially lifted the indefinite ban placed on the three players in 2013, following the intervention of football legend, George Weah.
Doe has represented Liberia in 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification matches, as well as the qualifying competition for the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
Doe scored two goals during Liberia's 2008 ACN qualifying campaign, opening the scoring in a 3–2 victory over Rwanda on 8 October 2006, and scoring Liberia's lone goal in their 3–1 loss to Cameroon on 28 March 2007.
Doe also scored against Senegal in a 3–1 loss to the Lions in 2012.
In June 2012, Doe was expelled from the squad ahead of a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
