The Swedish allsvenskan resumed on Monday night with some exciting matches across the country but much attention was drawn at the Gavlevallen where fans gathered to watch two of Liberia internationals players battle each other.
Fresh from helping the Lonestar of Liberia to a 1-0 victory over Tunisia and winning man of the match ,Sam Johnson couldn't help his club Djurgardens from bowing to Dioh Williams ' Gefle IF. A good foot work from veteran striker Dioh saw him earn two (2) assists that lead to Swedish forward Johan Oremo scoring both goals for Gefle. Though Djurgardens pull one back six (6) minutes to match stoppage time but it wasn't enough to help them from losing 2-1. The victory means that Gefle now occupies the 9th position on the league table with 29 points while Djurgardens remains 6th place with 40 points.
Life in Cyprus started fine for defensive midfielder Theo Weeks Lewis who fell on the winning side after his new employer Ermis enjoy a comfortable 2-1 home victory over visitors Enosis. Theo played all 90 minutes to ensure his team collects their first three points of the season. The win took Ermis to 8th place with four (4) points.
Elsewhere in Norway, skillful winger Amadiaya Rennie failed to mark his name on the score sheet as his club SK Brann enjoyed an easy 5-1 victory over Fredrisktad in continuation of the division one league season. The victory keeps Brann hopes of qualifying to the Eliteserien (topflight of football in Norway). Brann remains in third place but with 43 points, level with second place Kristiansund.
