Liberia’s only representative in the CAF Champions League, Barrack Young Controllers Head Coach Cooper Sannah says his team will approach Sunday match against Ferroviario De Beira of Mozambique with “seriousness.”

Sannah said “on Sunday will be the same fast, incisive style that IE and Stade Malien found so difficult to handle.

BYC arrived in Mozambique Thursday, on a flight from Harare to Beira, and the fast growing “Go Blue Boys” immediately started training on Friday with two major sessions that went well; they had their last session at the game venue Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to reporters at the Stadium Sannah said he is hopeful of a good result away from home, knowing that the visitors are very good, he would not hold back.

The Liberian Champions are at the verge of making history in Liberia if they are to qualified for the Group Stage of the CAF Champions League, they will be the first Liberian team to enter the Group Stage. Copper said it is the team’s focus.
The tough taking BYC head coach said his players are ready for the job on Sunday, but are not under too much pressure away from home which put them in a better position to win or an acceptable draw.

When asked about his target Sannah said it is to have a good game, noting a win or draw will be better for the Liberian Champions.

For his part the President of BYC Sekou Konneh said they respect Club Ferroviario De Beira but are not afraid of them.
“We qualified over a very tough team in Africa and Ferroviario did the same over Zimamoto, that’s football We do not really know them but will beat them.”

Konneh continued- “We did not come to Beira  Mozambique to look at the beauty of the city, but rather came here to make our people happy so victory is a must Sunday that I am sure of”

“Every team that qualified for the Champions league  is good, so we will not overlook them because we are at the verge of making history” Konneh remarked with confidence

Club Ferroviario De Beira made to the second round after a 4-3 aggregate win  over Zimamoto conceding in both games while they are good at scoring goals something the Liberian team need to be careful of.

BYC scored nine goals in their last five game and conceded two goals.

Barrack Young Controllers is making their third appearance in the Competition after their first in 2014 when they eliminated Ghanaian Side Kotoko but bow out of the competition to Sewe Sports of Ivory Coast.

Later in 2015 they got eliminated by Gambian outfit Real De Baju due to the deadly Ebola Virus as they played both legs in Gambia.

Konneh is therefore calling on Liberian back home to keep their champions in prays because Liberia is about to be counted among football nations in Africa.
