29-Year Old Swen slams Liberian football followers over old-age insinuation

The LPRC Oilers goalkeeper has slammed football followers in Liberia, saying they are too quick to consider players old.
Saylee Swen has condemned Liberian football fans for quickly attaching old age to players, when the person is still playing actively and performing.
Reacting to question over his retirement plan at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on Sunday after the Oil Boys escaped relegation; Swen said he has no plan to hang his gloves, saying he will keep playing until age catch up with him.
The experience stopper said he is still in form and has at the same time reminded football pundits that he joined Oilers as a youthful player and that they should not be carried away by the number of seasons he has played for in Liberia.
“I have serious problem with football followers in Liberia they are too quick to make people old,” the Liberian international said after he was quizzed as to when he plans to retire.
He added : “ I joined Oilers when I was very young, that is about 10-14 seasons ago, but because I have played in the league all along people believe that I am too old to mend goal any longer, but that is not true,”.
The former Mighty Barrolle goal custodian revealed that he will celebrate his 30th birth day in November of this year. “I have not even reach 36,37 and goalkeeper must retire at least at age 40, I have no plan to retire, maybe I will do so when I am 37-year-old.
Swen has been in the Oilers team from his youth days and has also said he will not play for any other club in Liberia besides the Oil Boy.
According to him no team can offered a better service and salary like Oilers does
