FC Fassell Subdues LISCR FC, But Ends Third Place

FC Fassell celebrated their win after the extraordinary goal explosion in the final stage of the match, but will conclude the first phase at the third position with 20 points after 10 outing in the Liberia Football Association Top Flight League.
The “Soccer Missionaries” are back to winning following a 3-2 sea-saw victory over title contender, LISCR FC on Thursday at the aging Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
The win came following a dramatic 2-0 loss at the hands of NPA Anchors at the same venue last weekend.
It was Eddie Waulu 55 minute net getter that gives the “Soccer Missionaries” edge, despite a fight-back from the “Shipping Boys.”
Wualu's strike put FC Fassell in charge of the title race with a 3-2 win after LISCR FC started the show with an early net getter.
It was the “Shipping Boys” of LISCR that took the lead a minute into the first half, from Toe Clarke strike that beat goalkeeper Simpson Giddings.
The goal is Clarke third of the season for LISCR FC.
The 14 minute was good for the “Soccer Missionaries” as the Lone Star shot stopper, Tommy Songo blunder allow striker, Sam Kollie intersection to level the score line to 1-1.
Trokon Myers with a 23 minute placement beat the Lone Star third choice goalkeeper, Giddings who poor calculation out of goal area broke the tie for LISCR FC as the score line terms 2-1.
The goal is Myers first of the season for LISCR FC since his transferred from Barrack Young Controller.
With great coordination and connection, Terrance Tisdell added his name on the score sheet in the 29 minute from an overhaul Momo Kiadii and strike to beat Songo out of goalline.
Fassall could had made it three but LISCR’s Emmanuel Tarpeh made a double save ahead of break that was the both team level score of 2-2.
55 Minute after the half-time interval, Wualu made no mistake by picking the ball up from LISCR FC defender Momo Kiadii's wrongful clearance inside the six-yard box and side footed home.
The loss for LISCR has maintained them 11 point on the league table with just a home match against Nimba United to end the first phase.
Fassell sits under Nimba United FC (NUFC) who continues to show their supremacy in the Liberia Football Association First Division National League as the “Mountaineers” defeated NPA Anchors 1-0 at NorthStar Stadium on Wednesday.
