‘Coach Pella’ grabs First Win

LISCR FC on Saturday evening outclassed Bong County out-fit Mighty Dragon to secure their first win under Coach Robert Lartey.

A goal apiece from Fallah Sheriff, Stephen Seameh, Dominic Jlateh, Toe Clarke, Fallah Sheriff and Abraham Barshall told the sorry one-sided story of what could only be described as an hopeless surrender: LISCR’s biggest home defeat since establishment.

The “Shipping Boys” inflicted Mighty Dragon worst away defeat as they thrashed the newly promoted champions in ruthless fashion to go 3rd place on the national league table.

Robert Lartey’s men could not have delivered a more emphatic statement as Coach Sekou Sunny side was humiliated.

It was the first time Mighty Dragon had conceded six goals in an away fixture, since their formation.

Fallah Sheriff opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a few yard away from goal strike that sailed straight into the net before Stephen Seameh’s 27th minute turn gave him space for a superb second to add the lead 2-0.

Dominic Jlateh’s 30th minute cool finish made it 3-0 and Toe Clarke added a fourth 32th minute with a scratchy drive from the edge of the box before first half break.

Things continued in the same vein after half-time but Dragon simply had no answer to LISCR’s pace and movement going forward and, when another attack was not properly cleared that saw Fallah Sheriff notched again with a exact shot into the bottom corner in the 51 minute.

Jallah Freeman and Lassana Sonnie were both issued red cards in the 78th and 80th minute, respectively for second bookable offence for Mighty Dragons.
