Double Champ, BYC-II Tastes Defeat at home

10 Men, Barrack Young Controller II (BYC II) was humiliated before its home crowd on yesterday by rival club, Gardnersville FC in their opener for the new second division league season, as the Gardnerville based club came from down to beat the continental hopeful.
Liberia’s champs started the match in a classical style, but succumb to their opponents in the late minutes of second half.
LISCR FC feeder club capitalized on their numerical advantage to scoop all three points at at the Blue Field where the host BYC-II was reduced to ten-man in the 58th minute of the highly anticipated match.
Substitute, Junior Banneyco and Obediah Freeman goals in the 80th and 88th minute were enough to do the damage after the home side failed to build on Terry Sackor opener in the 30th minute.
The Go Blue Boys took the lead following perfect ball coordination couple with immense pressure mounted from both the left and right flanks of the artificial carpet not too far from the Atlantic Ocean in the PHP Community.

BYC II Head Coach Emmanuel Kaykay blamed his defeat on technical errors, the red card and the substitution of his holding midfielder.
Coach Kaykay said is it not strange for the club to lose its first match but emphasized that at the end of the day the club will be crown as champions.
According to him, now that he has found out the lapses, the next match will be calculated in different framework.
In another match of the day, relegated Aries FC narrowly defeated newly promoted Bendu FC 3-2 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in central Monrovia.
It was Farsadu Logan who netted the opener for Aries in the 12th minute before Musa Parbia leveled for Bendu FC in the 19th minute.
Aries increased the score in the 26th minute from a Tamba Gbollie strike that beat goalkeeper Victor Sieh to make the scoreline 2-1.
Titus Johnson equalized for Bendu at the stroke of half time only substitute Richmond Togba to scored in the 90th minute to give Aries FC a 3-2 win.
