Nimba United coach, Kollie Korvy alias ‘Coach Mission’ has tipped his side as favorite for Sunday’s match against LPRC Oilers. The Coach spoke in a Pre-Match interview, Thursday.

United will kick off their title defense on home ground – at the NorthStar Sports Stadium in Mount Barclay, outside Monrovia with a 4-3-3 format, Coach Mission confided in FOCUS Sport late last night from his team-camp via Mobile Phone.

Coach Mission said his team is in high spirit for Sunday and he’s optimistic that the Mountaineers will retain the title by the time the new league season closes.

United coach made several changes in his first-team that won the title last term with Edmond Borloh regaining his place as first choice ‘shot stopper’ ahead of youthful Emmanuel Deanneh who stole the show last season.

The Mountaineers ‘new look’ lineup to Gabriel Johns men includes three new signings - Peter Sieh, formerly of Watanga FC in central defense, MUSCAT FC’s Darlington Philips in midfield and Sholee Deco Quiah formerly of IE.

Deco and United captain Titus Cooper are expected to operate on the wings according to Coach Korvy game-plan while Adetu ‘Charles George’ Evanonye plays in the middle of the three-man attack.

In defense, Edward Dean occupies the right-back position while Anthony Buogbor, a regular in the squad that won the title operates in the left-back.

Joseph Dennis, another regular who plays in the middle of United’s defense completes the Mountaineers’ backline.

Wilton Ninneh maintained his place in holding midfield while Patrick Singbah joins Philips to complete Coach Korvy diamond setup in midfield.

The Sierra Leoneans trio will start Sunday’s match from the bench. United coach in a relax mood informed FOCUS that the arrival of the Sierra Leoneans has added additional boast to his squad for both the Champions League and domestic campaign.

According to him, despite the lack of competitive test matches he is of the strong conviction that his men will produce the need results owing to the level training and the response he’s getting from his players.

Nimba United has won three of the last-four meetings between the two clubs and drew one. 1-1 in Sanniqullie followed by two wins in Kakata and another one at the ATS.

In other weekend actions at the ATS, Pro Sisters will take on Naskin FC in the day’s first encounter at 12 noon to set the pace for Island Queen and World Girls at 2: 00 PM in Women Football fixture for Saturday.

The last match of the day will see the top flight football in the male category between Watanga and LISCR FC.

Determine Girls come face-to-face with Earth Angel at the same venue today to awaken female football after almost two years in come.
