Nimba United and BYC II Opponents in CAF Competitions Revealed

Monrovia, Liberia - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the fixtures for the 52nd edition of Africa's premier club football tournament and the 20th edition under the current CAF Champions League format.
According to a release from the Liberia Football Association, CAF has paired Liberian league champions NIMBA United FC against Cameroon’s Union Sportive de Douala in the Preliminary Round.
The first leg of the preliminary rounds will take place in Monrovia at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium between February 12-14 while the return leg will be in Cameroon from February 26-28, 2016.
The winner from the two-legged ties will advance to the First Round of the CAF Champions League to play the Egyptian Champions Zamalek on March 11-13 and March 18-20, 2016.
The LFA release also revealed that CAF has given BYC Football Club Liberia II a bye to the First Round of the 13th Edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
BYC II will face the winner from the Preliminary Round match between Morocco’s Kawkab Marrakech and Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) of Burkina Faso. The matches between those two clubs will take place February 12-14 and February 26-28, 2016.
BYC II will then enter the First Round to play away in the first leg on March 11-13 before hosting in the second leg on March 18-20, 2016.
Meanwhile, the LFA has announced December 31, 2015 as the deadline for Liberian teams competing in next year’s CAF Competition to complete their registration. The local football house also announced that CAF has set the time for late registration from January 1-16, 2016 with clubs expected to pay USD $500.00 for late registration per a single player.
