BYC 3peat Halted

By Staff reporter

The back to back champions of the Liberian national Football league 1st division fell to newcomers Nimba United 1-0 in an exciting match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia yesterday.

The “ Go Blues” on the threshold of history wasted many chances and dominated the first 70 minutes of the match.

No team has ever won three 1st Division Championships in a row in the history of the LFA.

BYC was considered to be the most organized and experienced club in the LFA 1st division had a chance to make history.

That chance was snatch away by Nimba Untied, a club that gained promotion to the top flight this season.

With BYC going down to Nimba United 1-0 makes Nimba United winner Group B on 19 point and will face LISCR FC in the LFA Playoff final to decide the champion of the season.
