The Technical Manager of the national football
team, the Lone Star, Kadalah Kromah has designated Mr. Abraham "Football"
Fofana as scout for the Lone Star.
He took the decision recently and said Mr Fofana
is to scout players playing in the European leagues and provide information
concerning such players for the National soccer team of Liberia, the Lone
Star.
In an email dispatch to Mr. Fofana, his function
additionally, will include foreign based Liberian players assessment,
current form of the club the player is playing for, and position and
character of the player.
The Lone Star is scheduled to play Ethiopia in
March of next year in the 2004 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. The
current Lone Star squad is built around youngsters in persons of Prince
Daye, Dulee Johnson, Jimmy Dixon, George Gebro, Larmin Ousmane, Christopher
Wreh, Varmah Kpoto, Fallah Johnson, Isaac Tondo, Henry Gobah, among others.
It is believed that designating Mr. Abraham
Fofana is in the right direction since the Ministry of Youth and Sports does
not have the funds to afford coach Kromah the opportunity to visit players
playing abroad and assess them for Lone Star.
Mr. "Football" is no stranger when it comes to football. He
is the Manager of Alvin Power Kieh. He is presently based in Holland.
He told this paper that he will serve in the interest of the
Lone Star in making sure that the right players are scouted for the Lone
Star. He then urged players playing professional football and wanting to be
contacted, can contact him through this number 0031615200059. |
