Coach Kromah Designates Mr. "Football" As Scout

      The Technical Manager of the national football team, the Lone Star, Kadalah Kromah has designated Mr. Abraham "Football" Fofana as scout for the Lone Star.

      He took the decision recently and said Mr Fofana is to scout players playing in the European leagues and provide information concerning such players for the National soccer team of Liberia, the Lone Star.

      In an email dispatch to Mr. Fofana, his function additionally, will include foreign based Liberian players assessment, current form of the club the player is playing for, and position and character of the player.

      The Lone Star is scheduled to play Ethiopia in March of next year in the 2004 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. The current Lone Star squad is built around youngsters in persons of Prince Daye, Dulee Johnson, Jimmy Dixon, George Gebro, Larmin Ousmane, Christopher Wreh, Varmah Kpoto, Fallah Johnson, Isaac Tondo, Henry Gobah, among others.

      It is believed that designating Mr. Abraham Fofana is in the right direction since the Ministry of Youth and Sports does not have the funds to afford coach Kromah the opportunity to visit players playing abroad and assess them for Lone Star.

    Mr. "Football" is no stranger when it comes to football. He is the Manager of Alvin Power Kieh. He is presently based in Holland.
