Liberian International Striker Zizi Roberts made the call at the Giants Stadium, in East Rutherford, NJ on Saturday May 3, 2003 following the Colorado Rapids 2-1 Loss to the Metro Stars in a MLS game.

Zizi Roberts said that he is ready to put Liberia back on the Africa Soccer map. He informed the LFA that he is returning for Liberia next game at SKD against Ethiopia. “I am calling all the former Liberian soccer players , Weah, Debbeh, Makor, Sewgbe, Daye and all the other players to answer the call” Roberts said.

This comes at a time Liberia is going thru a rebel war .Roberts said that Peace is all we need and that the Lone Star has always brought joy to the Liberian people. Zizi was upset with the LFA for the way they treated him after his injury at the last ANC. Now Zizi has regained form and is ready for a Lone Star return.

Roberts was the man of the match for the Rapids. He was a big support for the defense and a capable striker up front. He has 2 goals and 1 assist for 5 points after 3 games early in his 1st MLS season.

The Rapids went ahead 1-0 in the 41st minute when Roberts' powerful left-footed strike bounced off the hands of Metro- Stars keeper Tim Howard and rolled inside the near post.

Mark Chung registered an assist on the Liberian's second goal of the year, snapping Howard's stretch of 210 minutes without allowing a goal.

"We scored the goal, and it was encouraging, but we couldn't keep the ball," Roberts said. "And we lost control of the game."

Colorado's first lead of the season was short-lived as the MetroStars (2-1-1) tied the game in the 51st minute. Craig Ziadie played a brilliant ball to Clint Mathis at the 6-yard box and the U.S. National team star leaped over defender Wes Hart and headed the ball inside the near post for his first goal of the season.

Ziadie followed with his first MLS goal in the 62nd minute when the Jamaican midfielder blew past Colorado defender Matt Crawford, danced into space in the box, and his left-footed shot from 16 yards out tipped off the hands of goalkeeper Scott Vallow, who dived to his left, and into the net to put the MetroStars ahead 2-1.
