As the flight of Liberian players to greener pasture increases, Zah Krangar and Joseph Pailey have joined Racing FC of Cameroon. The two players, who have officially been invited by the Cameroonian first Division club, will be touring Europe with their new club shortly after the completion of the Cameroonian national League.

The League, which is a few matches away to completion, pits Racing FC among the middle ranking clubs.Zah Krangar, 17, is an enterprising midfielder, who was the smallest member of the Liberian Youth side that made inroads in the Scandinavia Gothia Cup in 1997, 1998 and 1999. He was also named one of the outstanding players in the 1999 Danish Youth Cup.

The bow-legged player, who is easily mistaken for Lone Star midfield maestro Kelvin Sebwe, has the capacity of spraying incisive passes and juggling the ball at precarious angles of the pitch. Zah Krangar has as well played in Sweden with Floda Bolf in the Third Division league. A few months ago he returned from Switzerland where he and Dioh Williams had gone upon invitation of a Swiss coach.

While there, the two former Youth team cronies had a brief stint with fourth Division Juventus. The young midfielder has acquired the rudiments of organized football and expectations are increasingly high that he might be heading for the tougher leagues.
Striker Joseph Pailey, 20, has the carriage and ability of a quality attacker and has been on expedition in West Africa for sometime now. The former Invincible Eleven (IE) towering striker is noted for scoring goals whenever he approaches his opponents’ vital zone.

Escorting the players to Cameroon is Clarence Lee Chea, the International Scout of Dorkpah International Sports Management (DISM), a Promotional Firm based in Minnesota, USA. Speaking to Liberiansoccer shortly upon their departure, Mr. Chea confided that Racing FC has implicit confidence in his role as a Scout and has contacted him to recommend two seasoned players who could beef up their attack.

He indicated: "The performance of Francis Doe and Ben Teekloh has earned Liberian players a lot of respect in Cameroon and as a result several other clubs are interested in potential Liberian players." Commenting further, Mr. Chea noted that Zah Krangar and Joseph Pailey are two promising players that he has been keenly observing for sometime. “They can better represent themselves, no doubt," Scout Chea averred.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chea is expected to visit Asia to meet with other clubs officials for possible deals for Liberian players. It maybe recalled that Prince Daye who now plays for SC Bastia is one of such players who was scouted by Chea.

According to information gathered, Prince Daye, in 1994, was recommended to IE from the Refugee camp in Ghana where he had made his marks before moving to France through the extended input of King George Weah.

Already in Cameroon are three other Liberian players: Francis Doe, Ben Teekloh and Robert Sessay, who play in separate departments for Tonnerre Klara Club of Yaoundé.
The Liberians have helped the former African champion side reach the semi-finals of the CAF Cup.
