Big Win for Black Star and LISCR FC In LFA Knockout

Black Star FC has secured a quarterfinal place in this year’s LFA Knock Out Competition.

Black Star achieved the feat after a comfortable and impressive 5-0 win over 2nd division side New Georgia Pirates.

Benny Tisdell opened the floodgate in the 3rd minute of the match.

It was followed by four goals in the second half. Ernest Siah made it two in the 59th minute and Bill Cooper scored Black Star’s third in the 66th minute.

Melvin Kicmett send spectators wiLd at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium with a low finish in the 87th minute. Benny Tisdell wrapped things out in the 90th minute.

Black Star has now joined Invincible Eleven and Mighty Barrolle in the last eight.

There were wins for LISCR FC and Kortie IE in the LFA Knock out competition on Sunday.

Meanwhile, LISCR FC outclassed USA Invaders 4-0 in a one-sided showdown.

Ben Martin scored a hat trick for LISCR. The win has taken the team to the semi final of the competition.

LISCR FC is the defending knock out champions.

Earlier at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium, Kortie IE whipped Senior Pro 2-0 in female soccer.
