Will LFA Reimburse Janjay Innis?
-Local Players, Coaches Express Concern

Following the refusal of player Jimmy Dixon and Prince Daye to show up in Addis Ababa, one of Liberia's professional players Janjay Innis, who made his services available to the Lone Star in Ethiopia is wondering whether the Liberia Football Association will reimburse him his air ticket.
Player Innis was invited on the Lone Star squad by Assistant coach Joseph Sayon, alias 'Kofi Bruce" to beef up the squad since it was known that some of the professional players invited would not show up.

Following two days of intensive training with the Lone Star, player Innis won a position which he intends to make his own, evidenced by his splendid performance in Addis. Player Innis was part of the Lone Star 26-man delegation to Addis. He was in Liberia attending to some family matters when he was approached by coach Sayon.

Out of the six professionals invited for the match, only four showed up thus, it meant that the LFA was left with money to cover two more foreign players. According to some players of the Lone Star, Janjay Innis should be given some money to enable him purchase his return ticket to Switzerland. " Janjay paid his own way to Liberia, before he was invited by coach Sayon. He was one of the best players in the match in Ethiopia," the players told our reporter in Addis who is traveling with the team.

When the head of delegation, Peter W. Kabia was contacted to see what he could do, he said player Innis should just do a letter to the effect which he will take to the LFA for action to be taken for his money.

Even coach Kadalah Kromah and Administrative Manager Wortoh Anderson have expressed concern for the player to be given some money by the LFA to enable him return to his base in Switzerland following the rendering of his services to the Lone Star.

As far as the match in Addis was concerned, had it not been for the experience of players Janjay Innis, Varmah Kpoto and George Gebro in defense, the Lone Star would have conceded lot of goals.

From what was seen in that match, it seems the number two position is now owned by Janjay Innis, something coach Kromah can acknowledge.
