Liberia’s Eric Weeks and Boakai Foday were on the score sheet Sunday
for their club Persiwa Wamena in the Indonesian Super Liga.
The duo rattled the net in Persiwa 3-0 home trashing of Sriwijaya FC
in what was an exciting and entertaining showdown.
Sriwijaya is the club side of fellow Liberian international Zah Kranga.
Eric Weeks was the first to get the party started when he opened the
scoring late in the first half on 31 minutes in a splendid fashion.
Boakai Foday sealed the victory for Persiwa Wamena in the 81st minute
when he dribbled his way through the opponents’ defense before firing
in a low shot.
The goal was Foday’s fifth of the season while his international
teammate Eric Weeks also registered his fifth of the season.
The two Liberians had their day without the presence of Zah Krangar
who did not taste the football on Sunday
The victory keeps Persiwa Wamena at the 7th position on the league
table with 10 points from six games.
