The brainchild behind George Weah's quest to contest the Liberian leadership has termed their adventure as a serious matter.

Claiming to be the National Vice Chairman for Mobilization and Recruitment, a very confident Kalfah A. Sackor said his group intends to promote the soccer legend for the presidential seat of Liberia come 2005.

Amidst the already overcrowded presidential train with over 40 persons on board, Sackor stated, "we cannot trust any of those people that have declared their intentions."

The Weah Movement official is with the conviction that the Lone Star veteran "can serve as a messiah for Liberia."

"He can take us from the condition we are in today," added Mr. Sackor.
Sackor declared that the enthusiasm is very high among Liberians. "The thing is beyond imagination and it is like a divine intervention."

He promised that Weah, who has left Liberia to consult at least three persons including the prominent African statesman Nelson Mandela of South Africa, would respond to his compatriots' demand in the shortest possible.

At the same time, it has been disclosed that the Weah Movement has gone as far as establishing its office on 14th Street, Sinkor.

Sackor disclosed that the Liberia National Congress or LINC is on the verge of becoming a political party, with Weah expected to become the standard bearer.
