The two deputy Coaches of the National Football team of
Liberia the Lone Star, Kelvin Sebwe and Thomas Kojo have
threatened to resign their respective positions if the
Liberia Football Association (LFA) refuses to put them on
permanent contract.
In an interview with reporters recently, the two Former Lone
Star Players now deputy Coaches to head Coach Roberto Landi,
said since they took over the job, the LFA is yet to give
them permanent contract.
Sebwe and Kojo described the practice of the LFA "very bad",
saying that there is no way that any coach around the World
can be treated in such fashion.
They argued that Head Coach Landi is being paid 15,000 USD
monthly along with other benefits, then why is it they not
receiving similar treatment from the football house in the
country.
"Since we came in as deputy coaches of the National Football
Team of Liberia we have just being compensated by the LFA
depending on the number of matches Lone Star played", Sebwe
indicated.
"We have been in this job for the past six months and the
LFA is not saying anything about putting us on permanent
contract. We are now calling on the heads of the LFA to see
reason to show respect for their own Liberian brothers by
giving us an official contract, and if the association fails
to do so we will be left with no other alternative but to
resign our respective positions", Sebwe continued.
