We Are Ready

April 28, 2006

On the verge of a crucial FIFA Women U-20 World Cup competition match, the national female team's hard working midfielder Monica Cooper say they are ready for the fight.

In brief chat with The Analyst on Wednesday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS), player Cooper said they would show to their Africa's giants what they have in store for them.

According to her, this is the game they have been long being waiting for. "We have been waiting to meet our Nigerian counterparts in this crucial stage of this competition.

"We are aware that Nigeria has a good female team on the continent. But we are confident of victory come Saturday at the ATS," she said.

The Liberia Nigeria female game has now been scheduled for Saturday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).

The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) appealed for the game to be played on Saturday, so as to allow them to book return flight on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian female team will arrive in the country on Friday
