Two IE Stalwarts Differ On Premiership League
February 20, 2003
At a recent program to inaugurate officials of second division side Cardinals, former IE Vice President for Operations Edward Forson emphatically said a proposed Premier Football League will not work because the Liberia Football Association (LFA) will not find sponsors.

However, Forson’s successor, Malike Dukuly has lauded the idea of a Premier League except that, according to him, one has to consider the caliber of players.

The new IE Operations Vice President stated that the Premier League, which is expected to kickoff next league season is a good sign. “I think I support that idea,” Mr. Dukuly, who previously served IE as Financial Secretary told our reporter in an interview.

The IE Stalwart added that the Premier League will encourage players to do extra training.
Aside from that, Mr. Dukuly also said the Premier League will serve as an encouraging factor for self-training by players and also maintained that the Premiership is a very good way of putting up talented players.

Mr. Dukuly recently took over from Mr. Forson as Vice President for Operations of Invincible Eleven (IE) after the latter resigned on grounds that there was not support to the club.

Also appointed was Mr. Samuel Farkollie to the position of Vice President for Player Welfare having earlier served as Assistant Secretary General.
