| Twente Makes It
In The Last For The Cup Tournament
Liberian John Collins was on
target for his side
FC Twente Enschede as they came out 4-2 winners
over Feyenoord last
week.
In a tight/hard fought 1-0 win over Young Ajax has FC Twente this
evening in their own Stadium made it to the Quarter Finals in the
fight
for the Amstel Cup.
The game winner was
produced in the 73rd minute by
John Collins
From the beginning Twente had control over the young ones from Ajax.
Before the half the team of Rene Vandereycken was forced back and
every
now and than came in the 16 yard box of Maarten Stekelenburg.
The best chance for FC Twente was a header from Georgi Gakhokidze,
but it was a
close miss. After the half time there was more pressure in the game
from FC Twente,
this caused Jong Ajax to slowly loose control of the game.
After about twenty minutes Twente, Collins John scored the winning
goal.
Because of the victory FC Twente is caucus Wednesday evening when
the
lottery for the quarter finals will take place.
