Deputy National Team Coach Thomas Kojo has left the country
to spend some times with his South African team, Azizi Kara
FC in the South African 1st Division before returning to
national duty.
He returned to Liberia ahead of the country’s international
friendly matches with Angola on August 10 and Niger on
August 14. Kojo was part of the delegation that suffered the
3-0 whipping in Harare at the hands of the Warriors of
Zimbabwe, and was on the line a few weeks ago when Liberia
drew 2-2 with Mali.
The South African side and Liberia Football Association
reached an understanding regarding Thomas Kojo’s moves
between both parties. The South African club started the
league very late due to its ownership crisis, but the club
has started playing some of the outstanding matches.
Abu Sando, a former midfielder of dissolved Mark Pro FC is
the only Liberian currently registered with the club, but
the rest (Moses Weah, Clearance Weah and others) failed to
win contracts a few years ago. The club moved 12th on the
table from five games after collecting eight points.
