The League thus far

CEO/Founder Unity Soccer Academy Clarence Lee Chea

Commentary:

Let me start by being thankful to  the most high GOD first, the Giver and sustainer if our lives, secondly to the partners (Clubs, media, supporters) in progress to the football house(LFA) and its auxiliaries (competition committee, referees Association, sponsors etc) in making the ongoing national premier league a trail to follow up with on a daily basis.

Gentlemen, I thank you very much and may GOD richly bless you.

It is often said that “A little beginning can make a big end”, scripturally to speak in the Bible, “Though that beginning may be small, but that latter day shall surely increase”. So, is the ongoing national premier league.

The league is good and technically to speak it is getting better as the league table shows it, it means that there are some good and unknown coaches in the league that needs to be encouraged, supported and should be given the opportunity to franchise their coaching ability on the national youth level.

As the three (3) major principles in coaching states:

1). From unknown to known…….so is (Barrack Youth Controllers) B.Y.C.

2). From complex to simple ……… so is the team of the month

3). From abstract to concrete ….. So, is the vision of an individual that is beneficiary to all, again B.Y.C

In every league, there are traditional teams or big names, but there are some little foxes that one has to reckon with to maintain their traditional status and there are some little foxes that can make the difference as well.

Typical example in Ghana, the senior national team (The Black Stars) is centered around players from Liberty Professional F/C, even at all levels of her national teams (U-17, U-20 & U-23), with the above example, it shows a good and competitive league.

I am urging all clubs despite of their position on the league table to put on strength and fight(sporting)to the end of their last league match. Any good thing can happen.

Meanwhile, I want to admonish all coaches in the league especially the young coaches to keep the light burning to use their power of football to build a better future for many.

Lastly, let us employ the following factors as coaches:

  1. Our values should be responsive to the needs of our players and for the development of the game in general.
  2. We should be confident in our approach and show courage in our actions.
  3. Our work should be inclusive (players input) and encouraging everyone to enjoy and love the beautiful game.
  4. We should be challenging in our work and never be discouraged to bring out the best in our players.
  5. We should be accountable to those we work for, with and the community or society at large.
  6. We should show leadership trend at all times, take responsibility by showing good direction and behavior.
  7. We should be aware of change in orientation and use it to meet our objectives.
  8. We should be able to communicate and disseminate information.
  9. We should be innovative.
  10. We should study and know our players well (S.W.O.T….their Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats) on and off the pitch.

The leagued will surely grow in finance, stature etc… I can assure you all.
