May 28, 2004-England may have Manchester United versus Liverpool, while Juventus against AC Milan is associated with Italy as Real Madrid versus Barcelona is to Spain, there is a another great soccer rival existing in Liberia between Invincible Eleven and Mighty Barrolle.

Against this background, the nation will witness the biggest league match so far when Invincible Eleven (IE) takes on Mighty Barrolle in a crack league encounter at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on May 30, 2004.

The two sides are meeting for the first time since the league began March 7, 2004.

The winner of the Barrolle and IE match will definitely become the clear leader of the premier league.

For the time being, the two sides have six points from three matches each. Barrolle, the Red Boys, pulled two victories over Alliance FC and LPRC Oilers but lost recently to Monrovia Club Breweries. As for IE, the Sunshine Yellow Boys, they won twice against Alliance FC and Monrovia Club Breweries but forfeited to LPRC Oilers.

Before an expected large crowd, IE coach Raymond Moulton is without doubt going to feature the club's latest signings, George Boe and Bill Paytoe from Karn United. Old bones Eric Lee Wright and Emmanuel Gbamy alias Diaz are also tipped to join the starting eleven.

Mighty Barrolle possesses more talented players that are known for showing great skills. Some believed to be making the first eleven are Veteran defender Varmah Kpoto, Nuku Granue, Fredrick Vah, George Miller, Prince Garwo, Joseph Sion and Solomon Grimes.

Whatever the case, a Barrolle-IE match is a different ball game that has its own spirit, unlike the other matches, such that it is often unpredictable.

Before the Sunday's clash, Shoes FC, the newcomers, will take on LISCR FC on Friday, May 28, at the ATS in another premier league battle.

Then on Saturday, May 29, the premier league will roll on when Alliance FC, owned by Lebanese businessman George Haddad, faces the boys from the Beer Factory, Monrovia Club Breweries.
