Can anyone tell me whether Liberia has ever beaten Ivory coast in any soccer match before? If so, can you provide me with details?

To my knowledge Liberia have never beat Ivory Coast, never.  However, they have only play about two times ever.  The first time was Liberia first international away game played in the Ivory Coast Capital in the late fifties or early sixties and we got beat 7 to 0.  I know this for a fact because my uncle played on that first Lone Star Team along with Philip Robertson, the former referee.  I still have the picture of that team.  The second time as I remember was again in the Ivory Coast Capital when the host nation, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea and Liberia played in a Zone game (all games was played in Ivory Coast).  Again we were beaten by Ivory Coast, but this time a lower margin 2 to 0, I believe.  Santo Marrie (misspell) was on the Lone Star team that time.  This was where Santo was first spoted, internationally.  I don't remember any other time the two team played.  However, club teams have play several times.

Correction, I just found out that there was another meeting in Monrovia between the two teams bur that game did not end due to the fans in Monrovia getting onto the pitch and beating the CIV players and officials.  The fans said because Liberian teams were always mistreated when in the Ivory Coast.  Anyone remember that game?

Thank you so much Mr/mrs Smartfootball. I believe your calculation is right. I got a similar answer from Solomon Sipply too. He explained the exact story you've just narrated.

A couple of friends and I had an arguement regarding the meetings of the two teams. I could not record a time when Liberia had ever beaten Ivory Coast. But I wanted to acertain the fact. I guess my memory served me right.

Again, I appreciate your time.
