Rwanda thrash Liberia in Group 6

Rwanda finish third in Group Six

A couple of late goals wrapped up a 4-0 win for Rwanda over Liberia in the African Cup of Nations qualifier where only pride was at stake.

Four-time African champions Cameroon won Group Five in June with Equatorial Guinea assured of second spot.

But Rwanda were keen to impress the home fans and scored two first goals through Kamana Labama and Saidi Abed in Kigali.

Jeannot Witakenge and Olivier Karekezi struck the other goals as Rwanda climbed to six points, two more than Liberia.

What a shame! This is the same Lone Star the both Liberian and MonroviaBoy are so proud about.
