Ability vs Form

I was just wondering if the FA monitors this site. Are they aware of which of our players are in form as oppose to who they think is better. In my opinion the last nation cup qualifying should have included JB Seaton, Oliver, kingston, the swedish trio and chris Gbandi. Instead we played players like Grandpa, (good as he is) was clubless at the time, and some US based players who had not earned their stripes. Guys like JB Seaton and Dulee paid their dues and learnt the ropes. JB sat on the bench for several games in 2002 qualifiers along with Dulee. I believe the same for Isaac Tondo and a lot of the team Mauritius. These guys were being prepared mentally for the big stage.

WE see the big footballing nations doing this all the time. Brazil took Ronaldo to the 94 world cup for him to see and dream. Arsene Wenger got a 17 yr old kid on the roster for the champions league. ( i forgot his name). Its a counter productive in the long term to go shopping for new players every time we got a game. i dnt agree that melvin Tarley and Malcolm Cephas are way better than say kingston or JB. Or why we playing Martin Toe ahead Anthony Laffor. look at Silvian Wiltord. It would take a major dip in form for him to be replaced on France team. He has earned his stripes, and so have players like Ronaldo, djbril Cisse and others.

You raised a good point, bro. It's all about favoritism as opposed to ability. I posted something of this sort on the first website but it took just few good heads to touch light on it. That's our major problem in every sport in Liberia, every society for that matter. Throughout ANC 2004 and WC 2006 preliminaries and qualifiers, Francis was clubless but he featured in (almost) every match for the Lone Star. Melvin Tarley had only been with Minnesota Thunders for less than a month or two; yet, he got an invitation. Those were odd selections on the part of Kandala Kromah - and his poor selection of players saw merciless defeats of the Lone Star at the hands of many of Africa's worst teams.
