Cameroon - Liberia, line up and DVD?
Reply Quote
I would very much like to have Liberia's line up from the match against Cameroon. I have also seen advertisements on this website for DVD's of the Lone Stars' games. Does anyone have one from the Cameroon game? Or does anyone know if there is a possibility to find the match somewhere on the internet?

Liberian, thanks for these links, bro.

After seeing the highlights from the game, I can say we did pretty well. The defence was a mess though, but I can understand that, looking at the fact that our best defenders, Jimmy Dixon, Chris Gbandi and Willis Forko were not playing due to injuries.

Now, my opinion is that the REAL PROBLEM in our team is, unfortunately, Louis Crayton, number 1 goalie. This guy is really, but I mean - REALLY bad.... I will never understand why our coaches, including George Weah, always liked to put him as a first-choice goalkeeper and also, why the likes of Grasshoppers and FC Basel decided to sign him. Because, every time I watched the Lone Star, Louis has always been the worst player, by far. His reactions and decisions are horrific and eccentric. Guys, we don't need this sort of goalkeeper right now and I am giving my vote to Sunday Seah to replace Crayton.
To have and not to give is often worse than to steal - George Weah

Louis Crayton made some costly errors that led to Liberia’s defeat.  poor goalkeeping was responsible for Liberia’s defeat.

Sunday Seah is good but what I’ve been hearing is that the guy has been playing as a striker for a team in Indonesia.  Talk of getting our priority straight.  I need another Goalie.  I think those kids from I.E. and Barrole can do better than Crayton.

I agreed with Weah fan. I saw the goals they score on Louis Crayton and it was quite disturbing. I totally disagreed with Jericho that Louis is the best goalie Liberia have at the moment. I think it is a big insult to Liberian soccer. Now I see why Crayton is third goalie for his team. This guy is a disappointment for me. Liberia can do better then that. I know there are lot of local goalie in the league that hasn't been given attention by Jericho. Also I think Jericho should use player like Melvin Tarley, Oliver Markor, etc instead of his son.

Guys, do not blame Louis C. for the defeat against Cameroon. In my opinion he played well just like the entire Liberian team. I bet you guys that any top class keeper in the world would still have conceeded those goals. The truth is, The indomitable lions were more confident , more experienced and better organized than their Liberian counterparts. I equally want to cease this opportunity to make this point. As for the return leg game in Monrovia, i see cameroon returning to Yaounde with all three points. For those who don't know, the lions are more dangerous away from home than when they play infront of their home crowd. The reason being that, alot of pressure is put on them by the fans in Mfandena stadium. whereas when they play on foreign soil, there are more compose. We can even look at statistics. The indomitable lions have been crowned four times African champions while playing on foreign soil. The only time Cameroon did host was in the 70's and was eliminated at the semi finals. Cameroon has every respect for Liberia and is taking this game very serious. Remember that a victory sends cameroon to the "Ghana 2008".

Welcome Lion and thanks for the view expressed. All we can do now is wait and see. The SKD stadium is about 90% completed so the game could be played on that stadium in June. And believe me, it’s extremely hard to beat Liberia on that Stadium. It’s almost like Samuel Doe was buried on that stadium.
