From my sources in Greece I was inform that the mean reason GrandPa contract was terminated was because of disciplinary issues. He disrespected the Coaches staff. Honestly, I think Jericho made a big mistkae for excluding Oliver Makor. We have no top notch player honestly. All our players in modern term are playing in the lower divsion. Cameroon players are playing at the very top in Europe. Dioh is currently playing in the second level Swedish league, Superettan after BK Hacken being relegated in 2006. Jimmy Dixon and Dulee are the only players playing in the highest level in sweden. The teams most of our professsional playing their trade are not top notch clubs in Europe. Cameroon team is more experience and had been there and done it over and over. Sorry guys but our chnaces of coming with a draw is slime. If we can come out with a draw it will be a mentally and morally boast for us
Welcome back P-10.
But ye man of little faith, how can you go to hiding and just come out with this kind of fear? Have faith in your Lone Star. From what I know, Cameroon has not done much preparation as well. They played one friendly with Togo (a one all draw) and most of the players they used in that game were locals that won’t be feature in this match. I also sense disunity in the camp as some of their experience players refused to accept a call-up for the match. Eto, may not still be %100 fit. Yes he scores 6 goals since his return but those goals were against lowly ranked teams in Liga. So you see, nothing to fear here. We can match those guys boot for boot and hopefully beat them on home turf.
Faith is spiritual, soccer is physical. Faith doesn't work in soccer/sports and won't bring you victory. Victory in sports comes from preparations, experience, readiness, concentration, etc. If we were talking about God, then, I'll say have Faith in God. We're talking soccer, people. Have the right tools; be ready ..... get experienced players ..... better playing tactics ..... team work orientation ..... concentration .... etc.
Sorry, bro. It's not like that in soccer. I knew for sure that we'd lose to Cameroon.
yes we can draw or defeat them in our home. it our home, so we should play with pride. i know my defenders will be back for thy match on NDS. we can score 5 and win
Since the Lone Star demolished Congo (Brazzaville) 5 - 1 in Monrovia in 1999 and The Gambia 4 - 0 in Accra, Ghana in 1996, she has yet to win a match by a difference of 2 or more goals (Exception: Liberia vs Ghana: 3 - 1 in Accra, Ghana).
We all love the Lone Star and would love to see her go forth in soccer. However, we must also approach the game from different aspects ...... quality of players, coaching tactics, training/preparations, etc. Don't think for a second that field 6 local talents with 4 foreign-based players against a Cameroonian side with all foreign-based players will yield a result of 5 goals against 1 in Liberia's favor.
Don't get me wrong by making comparisons with Hearts of Oak players who were featured by Ghana against Nigeria in former WC 2002 qualifier ..... Yes, we all know that the game ended in a goalless draw. Hearts of Oak players compete in regional games (CAF Champions league games) and other FIFA-approved games. How many of our local teams have ever participated in a CAF-approved regional competition and went past the first round or even the qualifying stage? NONE.
It's not the everyday IE vs Barrolle thing. It's CONTINENTAL ...... nation against nation on the soccer field. Please, man. There is no proof that Liberia will beat Cameroon in the return leg, least likely to mention by a difference of five goals. "playing with Pride is not the issue. Playing with confidence is."
Where did you get the 4 profesionals and 6 locals from? Click on the link below to see the line up used by Liberia against Cameroon. The only reason we lost that game was due to the offiicials biased against us( 5 unwarranted yellow cards and one red card against the best defender we had on the field George Gebro), the easy first goal Crayton gave Cameroon in the 12th minute as well as not been able to use our full compliment of defenders. Man let people hear, Cameroon is not all that. We could have beaten them in that game if the officials were not against us. But we will beat them in Monrovia if Jimmy Dixon, Willis Forko and Chris Gbandi are healthy and called by couch. Even the Cameroon are saying that they were out played by Lone Star and are afraid they could lost in the return leg.
The good thing about this is that Liberia has two home games left whereas Cameroon and E.Guinea both have 2 road games left. Like I said before have faith. This thing is not able until the fat lady signs.

The "4 professionals and 6 locals" was just a mere statement, painting a picture of how our Liberian National Team Coaches have been planning for important games such as the one with Cameroon. It wasn't realistic.
It's always the case when one team loses - bias on the part of the referee in favor of the home side. I did not watch the game .... so I can't say much about the yellow cards and red card.
I will duly salute our national team should we win the return leg against Cameroon in June 07. All hope is not lost and it is my wish that victory comes in our favor against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. However, my analysis of defeat on our part comes in the wake of constant poor planning on our part. I wish us victory .... but until that happens, let's take it as it is - your side and my side until reality proves it.
