Young Liberian face each other in CAF Champion League!

Smartfootball 02-13-2007, 7:06 PM
Omega Roberts, Jerry Jimmy and other Liberian on Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast will meet Coton Sport of Cameroon in the second round of the champion's League. Coton Sport of Cameroon also have Eric Weeks and Alex Nimely from Liberia.

They meet March 2-4 in the first leg and March 16-18 in the second leg. This will be interesting. This is a good thing for our players, they are getting some international experience.

Who do you want to win and go forward? As for me, I am happy for all of them but would prefer that Omega Roberts' team, Sewe Sport win because he is a defender and the Lone Star need him to gain as much experience as possible to enable him to help our defense. We need more defensive players then any other position.

Lets see how they will play each other.

Watch out this weekend how our young Liberian will play against each other. Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast will meet Coton Sport of Cameroon in the champion league at home in the first leg. The return match will be in Cameroon in two weeks from this weekend. Lets see how well Omega Roberts and Jerry Jimmy play against their fellow Liberian Alex Nimely and Eric Weeks of Coton Sport of Cameroon.

I hope Cotton wins.  They have a better chance to go far in the campaign than Sewe Sports.  Sewe Sport was nearly eliminated by Barolle.  Cotton on the other hand beat their opponent by 3 goals to nil in Yaounde and forced a 0 all draw on the road so in my opinion they are better than Sewe.

I think you are right, Coton Sport of Cameroon seem to be better then Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast based on their first leg results. However, either way our boys will gain some experience.

I support the idea of Coton Sport winning because they are the favored for that game. I saw Sewe Sport here against Barrolle. They really don't have a team that could beat Barrolle the score by which they won in Cote d'Ivoire had Barrolle gotten sometime to rest before the game. All we can say is we are reaching a stage where Liberians will be exposed in Africa making them "fresh products" for other parts of the World especially Europe.

Well my brothers, Sewe Sports of Ivory Coast beat Coton Sports of Cameroon in Ivory Coast 1-0. I wonder how our Liberian brothers display in this game. From the score, I believe Omega Roberts help to seal that defense for Sewe Sports.

That narrow win supports my argument.  I think Cotton is going to be the eventual winner of this series.

Cottonsport of Cameroon beat Sewe Sports of Ivory Coast 4-0. Could someone find out whether Eric Weeks or the other Liberian score for Cottonsports.

Hey guys, who is this Alex Nimley? He seem to be good and can score goals. He score again for Cottonsport. He score one of their 4 goals against Sewe Sport. Remember, he also score against the Uganda team.

Eric Weeks did not score, I heard he is very good. Well, maybe he have not adjucted yet, but Nimley is doing well so far. Nimley might soon be call-up by the Lone Star if he continue to score in the Champion League. However, Eric Week was call up by Lone Star.
