Supersport United has put a halt to Anthony Laffor planned move to
Germany.
The club took the action after Laffor’s Manager Ivika Stankovic failed
to convince them during a meeting on Monday.
Stankovic is expected to take the Liberian striker to Germany to
tryout with Bayern Munich and other top Bundesliga clubs.
Stankovic however told the media that another meeting to discuss the
issue has being schedule to be held later this week.
Report gathered says the management team of Laffor has plan not to
give up in taking the player to Germany, but it seems that the club is
keen holding on to their Star Mid-fielder cum striker.
United’s head coach Gavin Hunt said the club intends to keep their
best players.
Hunt provided some hope for the Europe thirsty Laffor and said
sometimes players want to leave and obviously, agents play a big part
in this.
He disclosed they would continue to fight in order to keep their pride
asset.
Stankovic had initially hoped to get Laffor, goalkeeper Dennis Onyango
and midfielder Letladi Madubanya out of Supersport but after Monday’s
meeting it seems Stankovic focus has now shifted to just making
Laffor’s move become a success.
Laffor finished as top scorer for Supersport United in all
competitions last season helping it retained the Premier Soccer league
title.
