Might Barrolle has emerged as champions of the
Liberia Football Association (LFA) premiership after second placer,
Barrack Young Controller (BYC) went down 2-1 to relegation survival,
Jubille FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.
The well attended match on Thursday, October 22,
2009, saw both teams mounting massive pressure where BYC aimed to put
more pressure on Mighty Barrolle for the LFA premiership, while LFA
most religious outfit, Jubilee FC geared toward securing a place in
the top flight, the premiership.
Little know striker, Alfred Gibson was the man of
the match as his brace (two goals) one in each half were enough to see
the Rollers as champions, while BYC’s danger man, Andrew Foday Swaray
scored his 13th goal of the season to end the match 2-1.
The result means no team can secure 70 points as
Mighty Barrolle is the only team in the elite division to secure such
points.
The Rollers will be in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa
County to finally be crown as champions of the LFA premiership.
Mighty Barrolle is the highest carrier of the LFA
premiership with three championships so far.
