www.liberiansoccer.com has signed the book of condolence for the
fallen former Liberia’s Lone Star coach, Wilfred “Kajaniel” Lardner
who passed away on the early morning of May 11, 2009.
The ceremony took place at the offices of the
Liberia Football Association (LFA) at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium
(ATS) in Monrovia on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Singing the book of condolence for the famous
website was its senior Reporter, Roland M. Mulbah.
Mulbah, on behalf of
www.liberiansoccer.com webmaster Mr. Toyuwa Harris, expressed
sadness over the timely home going of the former red, white and blue
outfit’s head coach.
"Liberiansoccer.com extends deepest condolences
to the widow and the rest of the deceased’s family and the entire
country for the loss of a compatriot who was committed to national
duty and he is on record as the first coach to take Liberia’s Lone
Star to its first African cup of nations in South Africa 1996," the
young writer noted in a rather tearful mood.
At the same time, the president of the Republic
of Liberia Madam Ellen Johnson was expected to sign the book of
condolence for Coach Lardner on Wednesday May 27, 2009, but there
are reports that the president will now sign today, Friday, May 29,
2009.
The LFA Acting Secretary General Mr. Sam
Beadford in an interview with reporters during the week said the
local football house found it expedient to open another book of
condolence for the fallen coach so as to afford everyone the
opportunity to sign.
Meanwhile, wake keeping for the fallen coach is
today, Friday May 29, 2009 while funeral takes place at the ATS in
Monrovia on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
