Sekou Shines in Champions League

Liberia’s International winger Sekou Jabateh Oliseh was at his best for his Russian Club CSK Moscow in the on going UEFA Champions League currently taken place across Europe. Jabateh’s CSK Moscow battled 2010 UEFA Champions League Winner, Italian Giant Inter Milan in a well entertaining encounter on home soil Tuesday evening, despite losing the match 3-2 to the visitors.

Inter Milan took the lead through their Brazilian defender Lucio in the 6 -minute of the first half, and Pazzini netted the second goal in the 24th minute, given Milan a 2-0 lead. CSK Moscow re-grouped and started to control the match by keeping Inter busy, while Inter Milan on the other hand fought hard to defend their lead.

Jabateh Oliseh, displaying his skills mix with perfect talents was fouled in Inter defense and Dzagoev scored from the free kick spot right before half time making the score 2-1.

CSK Moscow came back from the half time brake in high spirit and piled pressure on Inter’s defense, thus, resulting to the equalizer from the leg of Vagner Love in the 77th minute of the match, but two minutes later Inter extended the lead through Zarata in the 79th minute, hence, denying CSK Moscow securing a point on home soil as they lost the match 3-2.

Some Liberians believe with the brilliant performance of Jabatah during the match, if his CSK Moscow Brazilian and Russian team mates were not selfish, he was would have disorganized the defense of Inter and score one or two goals for Russian side.

However, his performance against Inter Milan was very perfect as he ended the full ninety minutes of play. Liberians converged on video clubs in the country to watch Jabateh, who is following the path of Former World Best George Weah and Kelvin Sebwe, among others in promoting the country on the international scene.

So far, Jabateh is the only Liberian participating in the World’s biggest competitions at the moment. The In Profile Daily Sports says bravo Jabateh for making Liberia proud
