Premiership Club LISCR FC has fined
two of its players.
The players were fined for drinking alcohol during practice
session.
LISCR FC president Mustapha Raji told Star Radio the players
would pay two thousand Liberian dollars each.
The players are Prince Garwo and Wesley Tarbah. Mr.Raji said
the money would be deducted from the players’ salaries.
He warned of the players to desist from such attitude. Mr.Raji
said another offence would lead to an expulsion or suspension
from football.
He said LISCR FC would remain a team of high moral standing.
A Liberian player has joined a new
club in France.
The player is Edward Dixon. Dixon has joined a regional league
club Thouars Foot.
The club is a CFA2 side. Zico Dixon joined Thouars from fellow
CFA2 side Stade Lucon VF.
The Liberian player joined the club late last year. Edward
Dixon has been in France since the early nineties.
He has not been able to play top-flight football in that
European nation.
A player of first division club Gedi & Sons has been invited
to Ghana.
A Premiership club in that country invited the player.
The club is Hearts of Oak. The president of Gedi &Sons Patrick
Garwo told Star Radio the player invited is goalkeeper Melvin
King.
Mr.Garwo said King has already left Liberia. He said the
player arrived in Ghana on last Friday.
Melvin King is one of the leading goalkeepers in the country.
Mr.Garwo is hoping that King be successful.
Former Invincible Eleven right-winger Johnny Blidee is a
regular at Hearts of Oak.
Black Star FC says it cost them more than one hundred and
fifty thousand Liberian dollars to get new players.
Black Star has recruited ten players. The club’s president
Pennoh Bestman told Star Radio the fee for the players were
not the same.
He said it varied form club to club.
Mr.Betsman said the club spent more money on players that came
from premiership clubs.
He said he trusts the ability of the players that have moved
to the club. Mr.Bestman also told Star Radio a reshuffle was
done in the team’s technical department.
He said Augustine Lloyd was named Technical Director. Llyold
served as head coach of the team last season.
He helped Black Star win its first ever championship. The club
has also been promoted to the Liberia Football Association
premiership league.
Female Football club Antares Sister
FC has a new president.
He is Kerlie McArthur Miller.
The club’s board chairman appointed Mr. Miller to the post. He
is also a senior official of premiership club Mighty Barrolle.
Antares Sister has been rocked by financial and administrative
crisis.
Mr. Miller hopes to revive the last spirit of the club.
Others appointed were Anthony Johnson, Vice President for
Administration, and Frederick Krah Vice President for
Operations and Amara Sambola Secretary General.
Jardu Jacobs was named head coach and Teah Doe Assistant
coach.
The board also named other officials. |
