Richard Tolbert Sets Agenda For IE

Invisible Eleven (IE) President, Dr. Richard Tolbert, says
the team is being seriously confronted with three major
forces which must be improved upon if the team must regain
its previous status amongst teams in the country.
Dr. Tolbert intimated that his leadership is determined to
make IE what it should be, by crafting a reliable technical
team, players, and board that will be robust and responsive
to the plights of the team, which he described as cardinal
priorities.
As regards his personal commitment to the team, the former
National Investment Commission (NIC) Chairman said, he as
president of IE, succeeded in providing L$71,000 towards its
indebtedness to the Basketball Association, while a
16-member Executive Board has been put into place to
complement the efforts of the team’s leadership.
He has however vowed to have a strong IE, which he said will
be based on a striking team, defense and midfield as three
cardinal concerns that must be adequately addressed. He has
also disclosed the setting up of an Executive Board
including Madam Sheba Brown, Mr. Sam Gibson, Dr. Eugene
Shannon, and Senator John Ballout, amongst others, while
twelve players including Trokon Zeon, Momo Blamo and others
who are currently serving the Liberia National Team,
Lonestar, are being targeted by his leadership to join the
IE. The sports icon has over the years supported the IE in
many ways, ranging from financial to material contributions
amongst others.
