One
of Europe's top scout Jan Streuer heading to Liberia

One of Europe's top scout Jan Streuer has agreed to fly to
Liberia in the next couple of weeks to search for local
talents for some of Europe's top clubs.
Struer, who was general manager for Dutch top club Vitesse
Arnhem for over 17 years, agreed after a four hour meeting
with Liberian sports promoter and Sports to Develop
Underprivileged (SDU) boss, Emmanuel Geeza Williams, who is
in Europe for three weeks looking for opportunities for
Liberian players and to see how Liberian football can go to
the next level.
Geeza's visit is taking him to Germany, Netherlands, Spain
and Portugal. Streuer, who is the current scouting
director of WAXTAP, Is also working with top Ukrainian SIDE
Shaktar Donetsk.
He has been in over 20 African countries and discovered
players like Mamadou Diarra of Mali, Matthew Amoah from
Ghana, Mamadou Zongo from Burkina Faso and just returned
last week from Nigeria.
He is flying with a president of a top club side from Europe
and wants to see Liberian talents throughout the country and
hopes to unearth more Weahs and Debbehs.
Jan was introduced to the SDU boss by two top swedish
coaches, bjorn peters and sven sjunnesson. The coaches are
considered candidates for the Liberian national team jobs
and have been persued by clubs in Asia and south Africa.
Streuer is a Dutchman and has access to all the clubs in the
Netherlands and most of Europe.
