Nyenabo Takes
Over Yellow Boys

IE New Chairman Nyenabo
By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.
Joy has returned to the Yellow Boys IE which has
now handed the gavel to Isaac Nyenabo as president of the club.
The Comptroller General of Liberia was announced
IE boss by the Executive Committee, Technical Staff and playing body
on Thursday, July 1, 2004.
IE Secretary General Elizabeth Bannerman said, "we have
found someone who will take IE to higher heights."
She added, "With him, we will tell the Liberian
people that IE is the team of this country."
Buttressing her was the Vice President for Operations Malike Dukuly
who indicated, "we have asked Mr. Nyenabo to rescue IE."
"IE is in a bad shape and we need someone to rescue
it," Dukuly stated.
The Chairman of the Promoters of Liberian Athletes (PROLA)
Joseph Farkollie gave his blessing by saying, "we have followed his
track record when he founded the IE Fan Club at Cuttington."
"We are delighted to see someone who will redeem the youths."
Farkollie noted that PROLA has not doubt about
Nyenabo's ability.
In his acceptance statement Nyenabo labeled the moment
as another renaissance in the history of IE.
"I will do my best to work collectively with the
Executive Committee, Board and playing body."
He warned that IE will not be used as a political entity.
"IE shouldn't be used to ascend to power," Nyenabo
emphasized.
His comments were apparently referring to move by presidential
aspirant Varney Sherman to head the club.
Up to the time Mr. Nyenabo was being hailed for the IE leadership,
people believed to be working for the interest of Counselor Sherman,
were displaying their disapproval.
